This kit allows you to isolate any DNA fragment out of the gel as well as from the solution. It uses NaI solution with pH indicator for dissolving the agarose. Isolation takes about 15-30 min depending on your skills and amount of samples. The DNA quality is relatively good, almost no shearing of high molecular weight fragments is detected when following the protocol exactly. However the pellet drying step seems to be the most delaying and unsure. Eluted DNA has sometimes a smell of ethanol. The recovery of fragments is about 80%.
